Compression Ratio:

The compression of a pneumatic pump is the direct ratio between the pressure of the compressed air introduced, and the pressure leaving the pump. e.g.: a pump with a compression ration of 5:1 -

Air pressure introduced at 1 bar will output fluid at about 1 x 5 = 5 bar

Air pressure introduced at 6 bar will output fluid at about 6 x 5 - 30 bar
